Letter from Lee Kaplan, undercover investigative journalist
Lee Kaplan is an undercover investigative journalist and a contributor to Front Page Magazine. He is also a regular columnist for the Israel National News and Canada Free Press and a senior intelligence analyst and communications director for the Northeast Intelligence Network. He currently writes for the website www.Isracampus.org.il He heads the organizations Defending America for Knowledge and Action (DAFKA) and Stop the ISM. He has been interviewed on over two hundred nationally and internationally syndicated radio shows and been a guest on Fox Cable TV’s Dayside with Linda Vester and Bill O’Reilly’s The Factor about the ISM, He is a guest every Tuesday on the Jim Kirkwood Show on Utah's K-Talk Radio am630. He is currently working on a book about America's colleges in the War on Terror and the International Solidarity Movement.
Kaplan is also responsible for the deportations of over 250 ISM activists from the West Bank and Gaza from Israel through his articles and just returned from a mission to Israel where he advised
the Knesset on new legislation against the ISM.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

For the last seven years I have done extensive research into the International Solidarity Movement and even gone undercover at ISM training and orientation sessions in the United States and had volunteers working for me who went undercover over in the West Bank and Gaza. I just returned from a mission to Israel where I met with members of the Knesset and the Prime Minister's Office to discuss the ISM and how to formulate new legislation to stop their activities. The ISM was co-founded by George Rishmawi, Huwaida Arraf, Adam Shapiro, Neta Golan under the supervision of a PFLP leader and Physic Professor at Bir Zeit University named Ghassan Andoni. It's purpose is to act as human shields for terrorist groups battling Israel and to interfere with anti-terror operations of the IDF. Mr. Alcott is claiming this is not the same George RIshmawi, however, he is not denying this is the ISM.
The ISM tries to claim they are "nonviolent peace activists". Their training manuals that I recently turned over to the Israeli government teach their volunteers that they are human shields for the terror groups to enable them to interfere with the IDF and that they are to say they are "peace activists" instead of "human shields." The ISM's co-founder Huwaida Arraf had admitted on tape at Duke University and Georgetown (where she recruited ISM volunteers like Alcott is helping them to do at UC Irvine) and in a letter to the Washington Post that the ISM works in cooperation with Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the PFLP, all recognized terrorist groups per the US State Department. The ISM served as human shields for terrorists held up in the Church of the Nativity, they have hidden terrorists like Sadi Sukiyah in their offices in the West Bank and they met with the Mike's Place suicide bombers before they killed three people and wounded 50 others in Tel Aviv.
During my training as an ISM volunteer in San Francisco when I asked what we should do if we encountered armed terrorists in the West Bank, I was instructed to just say hello because the ISM coordinates all its activities with these terror groups in advance. Their real goal is to get secular young American Jews over to the West Bank where they can propagandize them and convince them that Israel is a human rights violator and apartheid state like South Africa was when this is opposite the truth. At ISM national conferences I attended at Ohio State, at Duke University and Georgetown, the ISM held seminars where they taught how to infiltrate Jewish organizations in America and promote an "anti-Zionist" narrative in order to drive a wedge between US Jewish support for Israel, deemed key to Israel's survival. Especially targeted were college Hillels where "anti-occupation" seminars have been held by "progressive Jews". These are in fact radical anarchists and communists of limited Jewish heritage pushing an agenda against the Jewish state. At Duke a entire seminar was given on how to inflitrate Jewish organizations like the Federation to achieve the goals of the
PLO.
George Rishmawi has been an honored guest at events staged by Al Awda here in the US, an ISM-affiliated group that calls all of Israel "occupied" and the for the dismantling of the Jewish state by violence. The ISM mission statement on their website while claiming they are "nonviolent" then stated that armed violence against Israelis is "legitimate resistance as mandated by international law." While the ISM changed the statement on their website after I exposed them, its leaders still maintain their support for armed resistance. These leaders include Adam Shaprio, Huwaida Arraf, Ali Abunimah and George Rishmawi. ISM websites around the world frequently also claim a right to use violence.
When you think about it, it's really brilliant: The Palestinians get to convince secular young American Jews not to support a Zionist of Jewish state and dimnish US support for Israel, and at the same time they get the Jews back in America to pay for it. That is the OTI. There will be no regard for Israel's right to exist and the message will be that all Israel is "occupied." What is more, attempts will be made to recruit the volunteers to regard Hamas as a moderate movement when its charter calls for annihilation of all the world's Jews.
The ISM has a long history of terrorism support, it is against the existence of a Jewish state where Israel is and the OTI is not designed to promote peaceful co-existence or dialog but to engage in economic and propaganda warfare against the Jewish state of Israel. I urge members of the Jewish Federation of Orange County to act swiftly to stop this.
